Venue hire at Tolhouse Gaol

Tollhouse exterior

The Tolhouse Gaol has had an eclectic history, being a former merchant's house and later a courthouse and prison. Its walls have borne witness to riots and rebellions, heard the pleas of those accused of witchcraft, piracy and smuggling, and survived two bomb blasts during WW2. Today the building tells the story of crime and punishment in Great Yarmouth.

A truly unique venue

If you're after somewhere truly unique to hire for an event, filming location or a paranormal investigation then the Tolhouse Gaol offers a variety of spaces including the atmospheric Heighning Chamber, the Sarah Martin Room and original prison cells dating back to the 18th Century.

The Tolhouse Gaol is conveniently located just minutes from Great Yarmouth's historic South Quay, the perfect location for amazing photographs.
